BCAR Certification

The Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014 (BCAR) are applicable to most construction projects commenced after 1st March 2014. These introduce new procedural measures for ensuring compliance with Building Regulations. BCAR now provides for a much more comprehensive system of monitoring and control of certain buildings or works.The legislation requires mandatory design certification, lodgement of plans and particulars, builder’s supervision, and certification. Compliance must be verified by a mandatory inspection plan prepared by an appointed Assigned Certifier (AC). Inspections with inter-reliance on ancillary certification is required by key parties involved in the building process. This will affect certain buildings and works including those requiring a Fire Safety Certificate (FSC) and Disability Access Certificate (DAC).Southeast PRIME consultancy limited can issue Assigned or Ancillary Certification at Design and Completion Stage, as well as a Certificate of Inspection. We can complete site inspections in line with the inspection plan, issuing an inspection report highlighting areas of concern. We can also review certification, declarations of performance, installer certification, and other relevant documents to establish compliance with the relevant standards and codes of practice.

Fire Safety Certification

Southeast PRIME consultancy limited advise clients on the requirements for Fire Safety Certificates, where and in what circumstances they are necessary and how the application process works. In general, all non-domestic buildings constructed after 1992 must have a Fire Safety Certificate.Our chartered engineers are skilled in preparing Fire Safety Certificate application reports, accompanying drawings, and interpreting the statutory requirements for each individual client and their specific projects. We liaise with the Local Authority Fire Service on an ongoing basis, clarifying the Fire Safety Certificate application as required to enable them to grant the Fire Safety Certificate. A similar process is carried out for buildings which are undergoing renovations, alterations or are changing use.

Disability Access Certification

In line with our current mainstream consultancy services, Southeast PRIME consultancy limited can offer our clients Access Consultancy services, including the preparation, submission, and negotiation of Disability Access Certificate (DAC) applications and the carrying out of access audits. This will assist our clients in complying with the latest requirements of Article 20 of the Building Control Regulations 2009 and Section 25 of the Disability Act 2005.

Fire Risk Assessment

Southeast PRIME consultancy limited have extensive experience in the assessment of fire safety risks in existing buildings and can complete a full review of your premises to establish conformance or otherwise with the relevant statutory fire safety obligations. We can recommend appropriate remedial actions were deemed necessary to satisfy those obligations and can also issue an Opinion on Compliance with Part B of the Building Regulations on satisfactory completion of these works.
